Crunchyroll’s New Demon Slayer Physical Release Includes Limited-Edition Bonus Collectibles

Demon Slayer is by far one of the most popular Shonen Jump anime adaptations to air within the past decade. Initially released in 2019, the series tells the harrowing story of Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family is killed by demons, leaving him and his sister Nezuko as the only survivors. Now on the cusp of becoming a demon herself, Nezuko’s only hope to remain human lies with the Demon Slayer Corps — a courageous group of warriors with supernatural abilities who protect humans from demonic entities. Determined to help his sister, Tanjiro begins training alongside the Corp’s highest-ranking warriors, known as “Hashira.”
Hashira Training is set directly after the events of the Swordsmith Village Arc, during which Tanjiro and his allies are forced to confront two powerful upper-rank demons sent by the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji. To prepare for their inevitable final battle, Tanjiro undergoes a special series of training regiments organized by his superiors, including the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui and the Snake Hashira Obanai Iguro. For those hoping to experience the arc in its full glory, Crunchyroll’s upcoming release presents the episodes in their original 16:9 (HD) aspect ratio, along with creditless opening and closing sequences. Additionally, hardcore fans will also be able to view the season’s original Japanese promotional videos (PVs) and trailers.

Demon Slayer’s Box Office Dominance Threatened by Hit New Anime Movie
Demon Slayer’s record-breaking box office performance is under attack by a new critically acclaimed anime movie for a nearly 50-year-old franchise.
2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year for the Demon Slayer franchise. Last year, Ufotable and Toho confirmed that the first installment of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle film trilogy would premiere this year. Written as the second-to-last arc in Koyoharu Gotouge’s original manga, Infinity Castle covers the thrilling lead-up to the climatic final clash between the Demon Corps and Muzan’s army. During a 2024 interview, Toho Executive Officer Mitsutaka Yoshida stated that the new film has the potential to be a “major hit that transcends the industry,” even compared to previous box office champions like Demon Slayer: Mugen Train. Part 1 is slated to debut in 2025, with Crunchyroll handling the film’s international distribution. A specific release date has yet to be confirmed.
The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, Netflix and Hulu.
