Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 10 gives birth — quite literally — to the anime series’ strongest monster so far, with viewers finally getting their first appearance of the massively powerful Ant King.
Crunchyroll’s premiere of Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 10 saw the first look at the Ant King, teased as the most fearsome threat the series has seen to date. Not only had the ants managed to fend off the Korean hunters in three previous attempts, even killing S-Rank hunter Eunseok, but with a King above all others now involved, the Fourth Jeju Island Raid may be tending toward another high casualty count. Unfortunately, this may have already started with the death of Akari Shimizu.

One Piece Finally Announces the Anime’s International Streaming Date Return After 6 Months
One Piece reveals the release date for Egghead Part 2 at One Piece Day Dallas after the anime postponed new episodes on Crunchyroll for six months.
Solo Leveling Anime Finally Reveals First Look at Jeju Island’s Ant King

Despite the known threat and severe past losses, the hunters may actually be underestimating the ants’ threat. In Season 2, Episode 10, Choi Jong-In and Baek Yoonho, both among Korea’s best, confidently declare they’ll win despite experiencing major losses firsthand. Lee Minsung also enjoyed, perhaps, an inappropriate photo shoot with the paparazzi. Meanwhile, Shimizu, the first victim of the arc, playfully refuses to heal her ally, with her distraction contributing to her death. Nevertheless, many hunters remember what it means to have close brushes with death, particularly as seen with Lee Joohee and Song Chi-Yul returning to the fray.
Fans interested in the Ant King can already check him out in animated form. Solo Leveling‘s game adaptation, Solo Leveling: Arise, revealed a stunning trailer of his battle with Jinwoo last year. Fans can also check out the “Jeju Island Raid” arc trailer released earlier this week. Crunchyroll streams Solo Leveling in English subbed and dubbed, describing the series: “They say whatever doesnβt kill you makes you stronger, but thatβs not the case for the worldβs weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo. After being brutally slaughtered by monsters in a high-ranking dungeon, Jinwoo came back with the System, a program only he could see, thatβs leveling him up in every way. Now, heβs inspired to discover the secrets behind his powers and the dungeon that spawned them.”
